During my family summer holiday it doesn't get any better then going for a swim in the Edwards River at McLeans beach between 6pm and dusk.
Great Park very clean; good bbq area with swimming pool. Reasonable price to stay.

I'd originally planned to stay for 3 days, but because it was so peaceful and quiet, I ended up staying 10 days/nights instead. The park is large and very well maintained with lovely grassy areas. It is also pet friendly, but not at the peak times of the year. The amenities are always spotless and the showers provide an abundance of of hot water and amazing pressure. Pure bliss!As I was there at a quiet time of the year, I had my choice of (powered) sites. The Reception staff members are friendly and helpful. However, 2 staff members who provided exemplary assistance, are Sarah and Mick, who were happy to help in any way they could, even after office hours. It would be remiss of me if I didn't let them know how fantastic they both are! Thanks Sarah and Mick!The park is immediately adjacent to the Edward River and there is a gorgeous beach area which is suitable for adults and children alike. I was fortunate to make some great friends too, Norm and Debbie.I highly recommend it to anyone heading up that way. I promise you you won't be sorry. Thanks to all for a highly enjoyable and very peaceful stay.
