The pool was nice and clean, the resort was in a good location, the room was reasonable and comfortable for the price. The decor seemed a little outdated but that was fine. The shower was nice, and the only downside was that there wasn't a place for dinner within walking distance on a day like that (you could walk to the rsl, but 40 degrees was too hot to walk there) Would come back again, and next time, play some golf.
I've stayed here twice now on the way up the Newell. Both times the rooms have been very clean, with the care and attention that only comes from owners who have pride in their motel. Mattresses are comfortable, air conditioning works. Probably my favourite thing is just how quiet it is here, no noise from neighbours, pubs, or the highway. It's on the golf course, so there are beautiful lawns with grazing kangaroos and lovely big old gumtrees surrounding. It's very peaceful. The RSL is close by, and has a courtesy bus that can pick-up and drop-off on request. The second time I stayed, the motel manager went above and beyond and really helped me out. Clean rooms, great service, good price. Highly recommended.
